uStream TT1 from Mitchell Acoustics is a belt-drive Bluetooth turntable that streams vinyl wirelessly to any Bluetooth speaker, including every uStream speaker, with no receiver or phono cable. It plays 33⅓ and 45 rpm with auto-stop and uses an Audio Technica AT-3600 moving magnet cartridge on an aluminium tonearm. A switchable built-in phono preamp and RCA outputs let it run wired too. It is fully manual: you lift the tonearm onto the record to start, and lift it back to its rest at the end of a side, while auto-stop halts the platter. 2-year warranty.
The uStream TT1 streams directly to any Bluetooth speaker, including every speaker in the uStream range, without a phono stage, without a receiver, and without any cable between the deck and what it plays through. Press the Bluetooth pairing button, and your records are wireless. It is a turntable that works with how you actually live, not how audiophiles say you should.
The platter and tonearm are both aluminium alloy. The belt-drive mechanism checks and corrects its own rotation speed continuously. No pitch wobble, no inconsistency across the length of a side. The Audio Technica AT-3600 moving magnet cartridge tracks cleanly and produces the detail that makes vinyl worth the effort.
The built-in RIAA equaliser can be switched out via the rear panel if you prefer to run through your own phono stage. RCA left and right outputs connect to any amplifier or active speaker. The uStream TT1 works as a Bluetooth source, a wired source, or both, whatever the rest of your system requires.
You lift and lower the tonearm by hand, the way a turntable should feel. Auto-stop stops the platter at the end of a side, so nothing keeps spinning once the music ends. The speed selector switches between 33⅓ and 45 rpm from the top panel. Setup takes under five minutes. There is no app, no Wi-Fi requirement, and no instruction manual thick enough to put you off playing the first side.
